Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 03/09/2025
Applies to: globalvintage.co.uk and any sub-pages hosted by Global Vintage

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use our website. We’re working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance and are continuously improving accessibility across content, navigation, and checkout.

Measures we take

  • Use semantic HTML, headings in order, and meaningful link text

  • Provide alt text for meaningful images and avoid text-as-images

  • Ensure sufficient colour contrast and responsive layouts

  • Support keyboard-only navigation and visible focus states

  • Label form fields and buttons programmatically

  • Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second

  • Test with automated tools and manual checks before major releases

Known limitations & third-party content

Parts of our site rely on third-party apps/services (e.g., Shopify platform components, payment widgets, social embeds). While we encourage those providers to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, some items may not fully conform yet. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us (details below) and we’ll offer an alternative route where possible.

Alternative formats

If you need information in a different format (e.g., large print, plain text, or a phone walkthrough), email [contact email] and tell us:

  • the web page you’re trying to access, and

  • the format you need.

We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Feedback and contact

If you experience any difficulty using our site, please contact us:

  • Email: [contact email]

  • Phone (optional): [contact phone]

  • Postal (optional): [postal address]

We review all feedback and work to fix issues promptly.

Enforcement

If you’re in the UK and are unhappy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Ongoing review

We run checks as part of our release process, periodically review our site against WCAG 2.2 AA, and re-publish this statement at least annually or after significant changes.
